Responsibilities & Context:We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and result-driven professional in Accounts & Finance Department in the position of Assistant General Manager or Deputy General Manager. The position would perform one of the lead roles for the department.The incumbent would remain accountable for guiding, leading, developing and managing all the persons and processes under concern of Accounts & Finance Department. The ideal candidate will work closely with the top management to provide financial recommendations and opinions that are strategically aligned with the organizational objectives.The incumbent must possess strong leadership, innovative analytics and proficient communication skills along with a proven record of handling complex financial operations.Candidate must hold a professional accounting degree and demonstrate a good understanding on financial terms, systems, standards and compliances as applicable for the country.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership:Lead the design and execution of financial strategies to support overall business goals and sustainability.Provide strategic recommendations to the Top Management based on financial analysis, forecasts and risk assessments.Develop, monitor and enforce financial policies, controls and standard operating procedures.Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis:Prepare, monitor and review annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue improvement.Evaluate investment proposals, project feasibility reports and ROI assessments.Accounting & Reporting:Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IAS/IFRS).Monitor and improve monthly/quarterly/year-end closing processes and reporting.Maintain detailed records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flows and reconciliations.Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs:Liaise with internal and external auditors and regulatory authorities (e.g., NBR, RJSC, VAT authorities).Ensure full compliance with local laws, tax regulations and corporate governance standards.Oversee timely and accurate submission of VAT, Tax (AIT, TDS) and other statutory returns.Treasury & Cash Flow Management:Monitor daily cash operations and manage fund flow, bank dealings and treasury functions.Ensure availability of working capital for smooth business operations.Negotiate with financial institutions for loans, renewals, LC, bank guarantees and other instruments.Team Management & Development:Lead, mentor and build capacity within the Accounts & Finance team to ensure high performance.Set KPIs, monitor departmental performance and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.Conduct regular training, development and succession planning initiatives.Education Requirements:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information System
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Banking
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
  • University of Dhaka,IBA, Dhaka University,North South University students will get preference
ACMA/ ACA accredited professionals shall get priorityExperience:
  • At least 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Real Estate, Group of Companies, Developer
Additional Job Requirements:
  • Age At least 38 years
Master's Degree in AIS / Finance & Banking from any reputed public or private university.ACMA/ ACA will be preferred.Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Experience in Group of Companies, Manufacturing or similar industries will be considered an added advantage.Proven leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.Expertise in ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or customized ERP).Sound knowledge of local and international accounting standards, tax laws and corporate regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence top-level decisions.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.High standards of ethics, integrity and confidentiality.Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bangla.Skills & Expertise:ACA/ ACMA,Communication,ERP Software,Government Liaison,Interpersonal Skills,Leadership,Microsoft Office,Strategic Decision Making,Teamwork,VAT and TaxCompensation & Other Benefits:
