Responsibilities & Context:Apply specialized knowledge in fermented pickles, sauces, and dried fruit processing to identify risks and ensure product stability.Support new product development (NPD) by validating recipes against food safety and shelf-life requirements.Advise on preservation methods, additives, and hygienic practices specific to high-risk categories like pickles and sauces.Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations (e.g., Bangladesh Standards & Testing Institution (BSTI), EU, FDA, Codex Alimentarius)Monitor updates to food laws, import/export regulations, labeling requirements, and ensure company policies are updated accordingly.Maintain company certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS, Amfori BSCI, and ensure readiness for external audits.Act as the main liaison with government authorities and regulatory bodies, submitting required reports, applications, and documentation.Oversee product registration, licensing, and certification processes for domestic and export markets.Develop, implement, and continuously update the Quality Management System (QMS), with a focus on regulatory standards.Ensure accurate product labeling, nutritional information, allergen declaration, and country-of-origin statementsas per regulatory demands.Prepare and maintain compliance-related documents such as SOPs, GMP guidelines, internal audit reports, and corrective action records.Plan and execute internal audits to verify compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Prepare for and coordinate third-party audits (certification bodies, government inspectors, customer audits).Lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) implementation following audit findings.Support new product development by verifying compliance with food regulations and market-specific requirements.Monitor and analyze regulatory trends and emerging risks (e.g., pesticide residue limits, allergen legislation).Education Requirements:
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Food & Nutrition
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Food Science & Technology
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology
HACCPFSSC 22000BRCGS Auditor (preferred)Certification on Food R&D or MicrobiologyExperience:
  • At least 8 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Third Party Auditor (Quality, Health, Environment, Compliance, Food (Packaged)
