Responsibilities & Context:About GREENSGREENS is a geospatial and environmental solutions organization committed to promoting sustainable development through science-based research, policy advocacy, GIS/remote sensing, and environmental consultancy. We work on diverse projects including EIA/ESIA, climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and spatial analysis for environmental planning.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an *Research Associate*. This role involves conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), leading and coordinating project activities, designing and executing research, preparing technical reports, and performing both qualitative and quantitative environmental analyses.Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate EIA and other environmental consultancy projects.
Conduct field investigations and stakeholder consultations as required.
Prepare detailed technical reports, policy briefs, and environmental documentation.
Apply GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analysis tools for environmental research.
Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Ensure timely project delivery and team coordination.
Support capacity-building initiatives and research dissemination.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geography
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science/Studies, Remote Sensing, GIS, or a closely related field.

Experience:

1 to 5 years

Additional Job Requirements:

Strong background in environmental research, report writing, and data analysis.
Proven experience in EIA/ESIA processes and documentation.
Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), remote sensing tools, and statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS).
Excellent communication, project leadership, and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience working with environmental consulting firms or NGOs.
Familiarity with Bangladesh's environmental regulations and field conditions.
Experience with participatory methods and stakeholder engagement.
Applicants should have demonstrated experience working with Python and R.
