Responsibilities & Context:Job ContextWe are a reputed company engaged in textile, seeking a competent and experienced Legal Officer to oversee all legal matters of the company. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance across operations, managing labor court proceedings, handling land and employment disputes, and safeguarding the organization's legal interests. This is a critical position requiring strong legal expertise, especially in Bangladesh Labor Law, and the ability to work closely with management, HR, and external legal bodies.Job ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Represent the company in legal proceedings, especially in Labor Courts, arbitration, and industrial disputes.Handle issues related to compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law 2006 (as amended), Factories Act, and Environmental Regulations.Provide legal support in land-related matters, employment disputes, supplier issues, and government compliance.Prepare legal notices, replies, affidavits, and other court-related documents.Manage and maintain proper records of all litigation files, contracts, licenses, and other legal documentation.Handle insurance claims, legal liabilities, and coordinate with insurers and brokers.Maintain liaison with external legal counsel, law enforcement, and government agencies as required.Ensure legal documentation, safety of property titles, licenses, factory registrations, etc.Provide legal advice to management on all corporate, labor, and commercial matters.Assist HR/Admin in disciplinary processes, including show-cause notices, domestic inquiries, terminations and final settlement.Any other tasks as assigned by the management.Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Master of Law (LLM)
LLB (Hons) & LLM from any reputed university.Must be enrolled with Bangladesh Bar Council.Additional Job Requirements:
Age 30 to 40 years
Minimum 5-10 years' practical experience in corporate/legal affairs in industrial sector.At least 5-6 years of direct experience working in Bangladesh Labor Court is mandatory.Prior experience in handling legal issues in the textile/spinning industry will be given preference.Sound knowledge of Labor Law, Contract Law, and Industrial Relations.Skilled in legal drafting in both Bangla and English.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and handle legal pressure situations.Compensation & Other Benefits:
