Medical Officer (NICU/ ICU/CCU/ HDU/ Emergency)

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient information and daily entry into appropriate databases is maintained.
  • Facilitate timely referrals of emergency cases to functioning secondary health facilities or hospitals when required.
  • Attend to all medical/ surgical emergencies and conduct minor surgical procedures when required.
  • Conduct regular, thorough examinations on newborns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development.
  • Examine sick children to determine their condition and ask intuitive questions to gather information about symptoms.
  • Advise parents on children's diet, exercise, and disease preventive measures
  • Examine and diagnose patients.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment.
  • Respond to emergency cases and provide immediate treatment.
  • Keep updated records of patients' illnesses, surgeries, or other medical episodes.
  • Attend OPD/indoor patients/ward & cabins
  • Prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities
  • Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
  • Perform or assist in major/minor procedures.
  • Ensure availability of essential drugs and supplies.
  • Participate in training activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold medical ethics.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by the top management
  • Actively seeks new ways of improving programs or services.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • MBBS with BMDC Registration number.
Experience:
  • 2 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Hospital, Physiotherapy center, Diagnostic Centre, Chamber
Additional Job Requirements:
  • Age 28 to 35 years
  • Good knowledge and skills in clinical medicine and surgery.
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports and well-developed communication skills
  • Ready to work under pressure in difficult environmental conditions.
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and culturally sensitive
