Implementing partners are responsible for the provision of quality education for over 250,000 children (85% of the Rohinyga children in the Education sector for the response) enrolled in close to 4,000 learning facilities managed by UNICEF funded implementing partners. The demand for education will only grow in the Rohingya response as a new cohort of children are enrolled every year. Given the scale of the work and needs, the Education Officer will report to the Information Management Officer (IMO) for monitoring and with the Education Specialist on Early Child Development (ECD).ECD is an important area of programming, and the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the ECD programmes/projects. The officer will be tasked with applying theoretical and technical skills in collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations, and procedures to support the development and formulation of the ECD programme for Rohingya children.In addition to supporting the ECD programme, the Education Officer will also work under the guidance of the Information Officer on monitoring and reporting (M&R) of the overall education programme. Given the number of grants and scale of the programme managed by the education section of the field office, the Education Officer will support the planning the implementation of M&R activities to track key indicators and initiatives.How can you make a difference?Major duties and responsibilities:
