Responsibilities & Context:In close collaboration with the Medical officer and Physiotherapist, identify and assess the person with disabilities who requires P&O services at DBLM Hospital.Provide appropriate training, assessment, and follow-up of individuals with the device by performing the necessary technical checks, initial standing and gait training, and providing information about the use, maintenance, repair, and replacement times, while involving caregivers and beneficiaries` families.Assure all people with disabilities receive quality prosthetics and orthotics, both in workshops and on the field as per requirementsRepair and maintenance of assistive devices such as a wheelchair, crutch, etc.Follow and respect the policies and procedures of P&O service provision laid down by the rehabilitation TU and management.Maintain individual files for each person with a disability receiving P&O devices and carry out regular follow-up as per the requirements of the particular person.Assist and follow up in the procurement of the equipment and materials as required for the workshop production.Support to prepare a proposal on orthosis material & relevant purchases and quality checks of the materials.Produce updated reports at regular intervals as required by the management and technical unit in terms of donor and organizational requirements.Education Requirements:
  • Diploma in Health Technology and Services
CAT II (ISPO Category 2) Diploma degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics).Experience:
  • At least 2 years
Additional Job Requirements:Sound knowledge of Prosthetics and Orthotics, appropriate assistive devices for people with disablity.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Strong communication and time-management skills.Skills & Expertise:Orthopedics,Prosthetic,Shoe ManufacturingCompensation & Other Benefits:Monthly Consolidated Salary BDT 45,748.00 as per TL MI-B policy.Company Information:The Leprosy Mission International-Bangladesh (TLMI-B) is a Member of The Leprosy Mission (TLM) Global Fellowship which is an International Christian faith-based organization, committed to change the lives of persons affected by leprosy.
