Responsibilities & Context:One-Stop fabric Sourcing UnitResponsibilities:Strategic & Operational Planning:Develop and execute medium- to long-term resource and capacity plans aligned with business goals.Lead the forecasting process using historical data and demand trends to drive one stop fabrics sourcing unit and decisions.Set and monitor key planning metrics like forecast accuracy and resource use.Capacity & Production Management:Lead the development and continuous improvement of capacity planning models to ensure demand and supply alignment.Coordinate with production, procurement, and relevant teams to ensure timely execution of manufacturing and delivery schedules.Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to optimize throughput and reduce lead times.Operational Forecasting & Demand Planning:Collaborate with merchandising, commercial, knitting, dyeing, central store and factory planner to build accurate demand forecasts.Ensure that forecast changes are reflected promptly in operational and production plans.Analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed.Resource Planning & Utilization:Drive proactive planning and allocation based on operational needs.Manage scheduling of key resources and planning aligning with manufacture-driven demand variations.Cross-functional Collaboration:Act as a liaison between merchandising, supply chain, manufacturing, and other functional teams.Drive effective Operations Planning processes and meetings.Facilitate communication and alignment between upstream and downstream teams to minimize disruptions.Systems & Reporting:Utilize ERP or planning software for data analysis, scheduling, and reporting.Develop dashboards and reports to support decision-making at the leadership level.Help bring in digital tools and automate planning processes.Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines from a reputed university: Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE)/ Textile Engineering/ Fabrics Technology/ Other relevant Engineering fields.
Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fabric Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 10 years

Additional Job Requirements:10+ years of experience in fabric analysis, quality testing, or textile laboratory operations, including at least 4-6 years in a leadership role.Experience working with knit based and functional fabrics.Excellent problem-solving, team management, and communication skills.Advanced knowledge of fabric performance technologies (e.g., moisture management, stretch recovery, colorfastness).Familiarity with laboratory equipment and software systems used in textile testing.Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product development, sourcing, or manufacturing.
