The position of Resident Engineer(CP-07) is the key position in these BIDs Missions/Main Duties:
  • Report to the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System).
  • Be responsible for supervising the design, installation and commissioning of CP-07.
  • Check and review the Contractor(s)’ design of CP-07 in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements.
  • Supervise the progress of the installation, carry out inspections for quality, quantity, and safety, and check the maintainability of the system, facilities, and equipment.
  • Assisting the Interface Management Lead Specialist /System Integration Specialist/Interface Management Lead Specialist in integration/Interfacing of their works.
  • Assist the Client in testing on completion and commissioning of the sub-system or system of CP-07.
  • Assist in resolving actual and potential claims from the Contractor(s) during the manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and testing stages of CP-07.
  • Collect and compile data related to system works for CP-07 for monthly reports covering the progress of the system works, including the installation, commissioning, testing schedule, quality, and safety status.
  • Reviewing/Approving submissions, intervening/recommending corrective actions or liaising with appropriate colleagues and Any job assigned by the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System).
Profile/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Must have a professional qualification as a electrical engineer or other applicable professional qualifications.
  • 15 years of professional experience.
  • Must have proficiency in English.
  • 10 years of professional experience in metro railway systems (signalling, power system, track works), including one large-scale (preferably >USD 0.5 billion) underground or elevated metro rail project.
  • 2 years of work experience in outside Expert’s country
