Responsibilities & Context:Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics of the company's vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues.Supervise and coordinate the repair and maintenance of the fleet, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles.Ensure proper servicing, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire replacements, and manage any major overhauls or repairs.Source and verify quality spare parts, tools, and equipment for vehicle repair and maintenance.Maintain a detailed log of vehicle maintenance, repairs, fuel consumption, and mileage for efficient fleet management.Monitor fleet performance using telematics or GPS systems and provide recommendations for vehicle efficiency improvements.Track vehicle lifespans and make recommendations for replacements or additions to the fleet based on operational needs.Ensure that all vehicles are legally compliant with road safety standards, licensing, and insurance requirements.Work closely with drivers to ensure they are aware of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.Prepare and manage the annual budget for vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective operations.Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicle operation and maintenance in line with company policies.Negotiate contracts and coordinate with external service providers, mechanics, and spare part suppliers.Ensure timely procurement of quality vehicle parts and supplies needed for repairs and routine maintenance.Build and maintain relationships with authorized service centers, parts suppliers, and insurance companies.The position will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the company's fleet of vehicles under the Transport Management section.This role includes conducting regular inspections, managing vehicle records, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automobile engineering and fleet management, contributing to the smooth running of transportation for the group of companies.Education Requirements:

Diploma in Automobile
Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Automobile

Experience:

6 to 10 years

Additional Job Requirements:

Age 25 to 35 years

Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
Modern automobile technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
Proficiency in fleet management software and tracking tools.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills to manage vehicle logs and budgets.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with drivers, mechanics, and vendors.
Up-to-date knowledge of Bangladeshi transport regulations, vehicle safety standards, and environmental requirements.
A valid driver's license and experience driving both light and heavy vehicles is preferred.
Willingness to travel to different locations when needed for vehicle inspections or emergency repairs.
