Join our family and build an inspired career you're proud of.Job ContextThe Assistant Manager - Fabric Sourcing will be accountable for researching the new innovative materials and to support seasonal inspiration as well as an archive of ZXY's seasonal production fabrics. The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting the fabric sourcing department in response to lifestyle, retail and sports category fabrics.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the brand's research to identify the most innovative materials and arrange those relevant fabrics from new and existing partner material suppliers.Liaising with local and overseas partner mills to find the most selling materials of reputed clothing brands and promote these opportunitiesFabric research as per business needs for lifestyle, sportswear and retails category productsEnsure new innovative materials from premium and price competitive both pointsResearch fabric trends by attending fabric mill appointments and local fabric shows and create fabric resource listsDrive the fabric presentation as per required products category throughout the brands` research of innovative materials.Maintaining a library of fabrics that are representative of raw materials that could be used in bulk productionSelecting, identifying, and locating fabrics for Business Units & Design team, as well as offer fabric alternatives in terms of cost, quality, lead time, newness, and sustainable fabricationOrganize the library brand-wise, season-wise, and category-wise dailyStrategically work with BU/design team to generate new business through offering the newness of fabricsArrange right fabric collections and material presentation for Buyer's visit at ZXY HQLiaising with regional fabric technologists to collaborate and share the new fabric ideas and propose these opportunities to customersClosely working with design team to understand their key requirements and arrange relevant fabric options and further follow up for fabric sample in houseKeep a detailed record of the fabric information and in ERP system and in fabric booksScheduling fabric and supplier appointments as and when requiredStrategically maintaining the fabric archive for digital and physical fabric libraryEducation Requirements:

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

Graduate in Textile Engineering with a focus in Yarn or Fabric Manufacturing/Engineering from a well reputed instituteExperience:

At least 10 years
