Responsibilities & Context:Construction & Infrastructure DevelopmentPlan, design, and supervise construction and renovation projects (factory buildings, warehouses, utility buildings, etc.).Ensure structural integrity and compliance with local building codes (BNBC) and factory compliance requirements.Prepare cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and project budgets.Maintenance & Facility ManagementOversee regular inspection and maintenance of factory buildings, roads, drainage systems, water tanks, and utility setups.Monitor and address structural damage, leakage, and wear-and-tear issues.Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs.Health, Safety, and ComplianceEnsure all civil works align with fire safety, environmental, and industrial safety regulations (e.g., Accord, Alliance, RSC, or local laws).Coordinate with compliance officers to meet audit requirements related to infrastructure.Supervise fire exit route design, emergency staircases, and structural load capacities.Coordination with Other DepartmentsWork closely with utility engineers, ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) teams, and mechanical/electrical departments during expansions or installations.Liaise with factory management, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of construction drawings, permits, inspection reports, and project progress.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management review.Vendor and Contractor ManagementEvaluate and appoint contractors, supervise their work, and ensure quality standards.Verify work completion for billing and payment approvals.Renovation and Expansion ProjectsPlan and implement factory expansion or layout reconfiguration as per production or compliance requirements.Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during construction or modification works.Sustainability InitiativesContribute to green building practices and factory sustainability (e.g., rainwater harvesting, natural lighting, thermal insulation).Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
BSC in Civil Engineering from any reputed public/private universityExperience:
5 to 7 years
