- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Proven experience working as a mechanical technician in a power plant or industrial setting, preferably with experience in combined cycle power plants.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and components commonly used in power generation facilities.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment specifications and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical problems effectively.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles, and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation strategies in an industrial environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support plant operations and maintenance activities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, valves, and other rotating equipment.
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machinery to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
- Identify and diagnose mechanical problems through visual inspections, testing, and analysis of equipment performance.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, and take appropriate actions to restore functionality.
- Conduct troubleshooting activities to determine the root cause of mechanical failures and implement corrective measures.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for mechanical systems and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as cleaning, greasing, adjusting, and replacing worn-out parts to prevent unexpected failures and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Follow maintenance standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the promotion of a safety-conscious culture within the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repairs carried out.
- Generate maintenance reports, work orders, and documentation to track maintenance tasks, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to provide updates on maintenance activities and equipment status.
