Responsibilities & Context:Oversee HR and administrative functions related to a fleet of 50 inland lighter vessels, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.Monitor and manage daily HR and administrative activities of vessel staff.Maintain and regularly update vessel-related documentation with BIWTA and other relevant authorities.Ensure smooth operations across lighter vessels, Ghat, garage, and warehouse, including facility and supply management.Administer payroll, benefits, attendance, leave management, and resolve related issues in a timely manner.Organize and coordinate training programs to improve staff efficiency, safety, and compliance with operational standards.Prepare and present HR and administrative reports to management.Develop, implement, and update HR and administrative policies, procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety standards, and company policies.Coordinate effectively between vessel operations, shipping lines, Ghat activities, and management for seamless workflow.Perform other special assignments or tasks as directed by management.Education Requirements:Master's/Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Management, or a relevant field.Experience:
2 to 5 years
Additional Job Requirements:
Age 25 to 35 years
2 to 5 years of proven experience in HR & Administration.Prior experience in Shipping Companies, Group of Companies, or similar industries will be given preference.Exposure to shipping documentation, Ghat & Yard management, fire safety management, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) is an added advantage.Strong knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and office management.Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently, proactively, and professionally.Capable of handling labor unrest or emergency situations calmly and lawfully.
