The position of Environmental Safeguard Specialist is the key position in these BIDs. Missions/Main Duties:
  • Review the EIA, EMP and its sub-plans, EMoP, OHS plan, and other related topic/site-specific plans to ensure mitigation measures' applicability, sufficiency, and practicability;
  • Supervise all the activities of international and national Specialists of the Environmental Safeguards Section;
  • Make internal coordination of the Environmental Safeguard Section with the Design Section, Contract Section, Public Relations Section, Health and Safety Section, Traffic Management Section, and Construction Supervision team;
  • Make external coordination with relevant agencies through the Client;
  • Provide necessary information to the Client for any meeting/ seminar related to environmental safeguard areas.
Profile/Skills:
  • Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/Environmental sciences or related fields
  • 15 years of professional experience
  • Must have proficiency in English
  • 10 years of professional experience as an environmental safeguard specialist in implementing urban transport projects of similar nature, as well as underground and
elevated metro project * 5 years of working experience as Lead Environmental Safeguard Specialist in urban railway/LRT/metro projects
  • At least 2 years of work experience in outside Expert’s country
