The position of Depot Equipment Lead Specialist is the key position in these BIDs. Missions/Main Duties:
  • Lead the technical specification and design review of all depot M&P (Machinery & Plant) systems.
  • Rolling Stock Maintenance Equipment: Underfloor wheel lathes, lifting jacks (bogie drops, body lifts), bogie overhaul stands, traction motor test beds, wheelset presses, brake testing equipment, automatic train wash plants, sanding systems, compressed air systems, lubrication systems.
Track & Infrastructure Maintenance Equipment: Rail grinding machines, track inspection vehicles, track measurement equipment, overhead catenary maintenance vehicles, signaling test equipment.Workshop Equipment: Cranes (overhead traveling cranes, gantry cranes), lifting equipment, welding equipment, specialized diagnostic tools, heavy-duty repair tools, calibration equipment.Review and approve M&P layouts and their integration with civil and track layouts within the depot to ensure optimal workflow, safety, and efficiency.Collaborate with rolling stock engineers, civil engineers, signaling experts, and other project stakeholders to define equipment requirements and ensure compatibility * Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all depot equipment
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures.
  • Manage the safe and environmentally compliant decommissioning and disposal of obsolete or irreparable metro depot equipment.
Profile/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
  • 15 years of professional experience
  • Must have proficiency in English
  • 10 years of professional experience in depot equipment works related to metro projects, including one largescale (>USD 0.3 billion) underground/ elevated metro rail project
  • 2 years of work experience in outside Expert’s country
