Responsibilities & Context:Technical assistance and livelihoods development:Collaborate with the supervisor and key consortium partners to apply design thinking in developing nature-based and locally led livelihood solutions across sectors like agriculture, livestock, aquafarming, and renewable energy, aiming to address biodiversity loss and climate impacts within the 10 km buffer zone of the ECAs.Explore and internalize the NABAPALLAB technical scoping study and orient field teams accordingly. Continue to provide technical support for the agreed deliverables of Cordaid.Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for entrepreneurship development, ensuring nature-based solutions and alternative livelihoods.Design guidelines for high-value crop promotion suitable for coastal areas, enhancing crop diversity, cropping intensity, and soil health in saline conditions.Develop ToRs for events like Farmers Field Days, learning workshops, and market linkage meetings.Identify and promote on-farm and off-farm livelihood opportunities to reduce dependency on Sundarbans resources.Pilot innovative agri-food and market system solutions that support locally led adaptation and nature-based approaches.Develop guidelines and relevant papers/formats for Village Savings & Loan Association (VSLA).Training and capacity Development:Develop training modules and materials (festoon) for alternative livelihoods (on-farm and off-farm) and FFBS groups.Conduct training for Community Supervisors and field staff to build capacity in delivering livelihood interventions including VSLA.Provide day to day onsite technical support to Project Officers, Community Supervisors as well as program participants in delivering multi-sectoral adaptation solutions, including agriculture, aquaculture and off-farm livelihood solutions with a market-based approach (MBA) in Satkhira.Facilitate participatory action planning with communities for sustainable livelihood development.Mentor and coach field teams to ensure quality implementation and adaptive learning.Program Implementation:Implement of livelihood actions, i.e., agriculture, livestock, aquafarming, both on-farm and off-farm interventions, including digital solutions for functional climate information and weather services and sustainable financing and market linkages.Identify and develop entrepreneurs/LSP for different trades who will act as local service providers like Seedlings and Plant Nursery, Vermicompost, Tricho-compost, Seed and input seller (micro level), Handicraft producers, Geo-bag producers, Vaccinators and livestock service provider, feed retailer etc.Arrange capacity building training for the selected entrepreneurs, make agreement and other documents as needed and finally making entrepreneurs fully functionalDevelop VSLA in each FFBS groups(Agriculture, Poultry-Livestock and Aquaculture) of NABAPALLAB project and ensure their full functionality.Ensure all activities comply with FCDO's operational, financial, and safeguarding standards.Maintain accurate records of inputs, training, and beneficiary engagement for donor audits and reviews.Support donor visibility and branding requirements in field activities and documentation.Linkage, Coordination, Networking and Advocacy:Establish and maintain linkages with institutions working on saline agriculture, blue economy, and alternative livelihoods.Coordinate with stakeholders including Agricultural Universities, BARI, and private sector actors for joint initiatives.Represent Cordaid and NABAPALLAB in local forums, stakeholder meetings, and consortium coordination platforms.Advocate for nature-based and locally led adaptation solutions in relevant networks.Participate in Upazila NGO coordination meeting , submit progress report monthly and get UNO certificate.Arrange engagement of GOB departments like UNO, UAO, ULO, UFO in several programs like Input Distribution, Vaccination Camp, Trainings and Field visits etc.Reporting, Documentation and knowledge management:Support in establishing and implementing an efficient Complaint Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) and ensure data inputs in monitoring tools related to livelihood interventions.Support MEAL Team in periodical analysis and review of the outcomes and impact and developing high-quality communication and advocacy materials with evidence-based best practices and knowledge materials, e.g. policy (advocacy) briefs, position papers.Document and prepare periodic reports related to livelihood interventions in coordination with the supervisor as per donor's prescribed template/requirement and approved activity.Write article/report, case stories, fact sheet for Newsletter and other reports and communication materials.Diversity, Inclusion and cross cutting issue:Promote inclusive livelihood strategies that engage women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.Ensure gender equity and social inclusion are integrated into all aspects of livelihood planning and implementation.Apply climate-smart, disaster-resilient, and environmentally sustainable practices in all interventions.Integrity:Showcases integrity standards as outlined in Cordaid's integrity policies.   • Master of Science (MSc) in Agriculture
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture
Experience:
  • At least 6 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
Additional Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science (Master's preferred), with at least 6 years of relevant experience in livelihoods development, especially in coastal or ecologically critical areas.Strong background in climate-smart agriculture, nature-based solutions, locally led adaptation, and market systems development across multiple sub-sectors and VSLA.Proven skills in training facilitation, participatory planning, and working within consortiums and multi-stakeholder environments.Experience in multidisciplinary research and reporting, including both quantitative and qualitative analysis for periodic evaluations.Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for planning, reporting, and climate information services.Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla (including typing), with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.Strong interpersonal skills, time management, and a collaborative mindset suited to multicultural teams.Proven commitment to gender equality and inclusion of disability.Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.Skills & Expertise:Reporting and Documentation,Strategic Planning,Training FacilitationCompensation & Other Benefits:
