Responsibilities & Context:The Child Protection Officer (Case Management) is responsible for supervising Child Protection Case Workers responding to the needs of children exposed to violence, exploitation, abuse or neglect.Case Management Supervisiono Schedule and supervise case management meetings at least every two weeks. Share minutes of case management meetings with CM Technical Specialist.o Conduct weekly supervision meetings with all Case Workers, providing technical advice on cases and psychosocial support to Case Workers. Facilitate peer-to-peer support groups where appropriate.o Regular field visits to support individual cases when required and provide regular monitoring of all aspects of case management services.o Review staff caseload to ensure they are manageable and share challenges with CM Technical Specialisto Review both hard copies and in CPIMS+ case files and provide technical feedback on the cases for all supervisee case workers.o Monitor timescales for response, decision-making, placement, follow-up, and review.o Ensure access to material, logistical, and further technical support and set eligibility criteria for material and other support in the framework of the Emergency Case Management Fundo Review and analyze trends in caseload using CPIMS+ to inform programmingo Conduct regular case file audits and ensure that protocols and principles are respected and that caseworkers use the IA CM forms and CPIMS+ effectively and safely.o Organize case conferences with relevant stakeholders for high-risk and complex cases.o Ensure all the supervision tools are practiced with the Case Workers.Staff and project managemento Follow up on Case Workers' attendance, and leaves and provide monthly attendance sheets to the project manager to facilitate the payroll process.o Ensure regular feedback to the Case Workers under her/his responsibility and participate in the appraisal process when needed.o Support disciplinary measures application if neededo Identify needs and support capacity building planning for the Case Workers under her/his responsibility with the CM Technical Specialist.o Plan, implement and track budget expenditure, progress against targets and logistics needs at the team level.o Support the implementation of M&E plans for case management activities.Coordination and representationo Ensure regular communication with the CM Technical Specialist and Project Manager on field updates, achievements, and challenges via meetings, reports and ad hoc communication upon request and needs.o Ensure close coordination with Tdh PSS and PM+ teams for identification and referrals.o Coordinate with Tdh support departments to ensure timely and planned procurement and distribution within Emergency CM Fundo Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with the key stakeholders in her/his designated area in camp.o Ensure that Tdh CM services are well known within her/his designated area through strong representation of Tdh in the Camp-level meetings and forums.Child Protectiono Promote, and ensure CM activities are in line with the Child Protection Minimum Standards and humanitarian principleso Ensure that CM activities are well-integrated in the Bangladeshi child protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelinesOthero Adhere to and ensure the team/s under her/his responsibility follows Tdh administrative and logistical regulations and procedureso Ensure Tdh Global Code of Conduct is respected at all times, and cases of abuse are reported through established reporting channels in a timely and confidential mannerThe tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project needs.Education Requirements:Professional diploma/ University degree in social work/social studies/psychology/ child's psychology/education or other related disciplineExperience:
