Responsibilities & Context:We are seeking an experienced Costing / IE Manager / Senior Manager to drive accurate product costing, optimize production efficiency, and support strategic decision-making in a leading RMG manufacturing environment. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, RMG industry expertise, and hands-on experience with process improvement, time study, and cost control.Lead and manage a central costing team of 8-10 members, ensuring efficient coordination, task allocation, and performance evaluation to meet organizational goals.Develop and implement improved Standard Minute Value (SMV) systems on the production floor, derived from innovative techniques and motion economy principles to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times for knit and woven garments.Analyze and decode cost drivers related to productivity and thread consumption, identifying optimization opportunities through tools like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), workload balancing, and resource allocation etc.Oversee the creation and distribution of operation bulletins to the production floor, ensuring accurate process guidelines and alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Design and administer incentive schemes for production lines that adhere to SOPs, boosting motivation and efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness.Conduct detailed process audits, bottleneck analysis, and layout optimizations to reduce material wastage, improve line efficiency, and ensure adherence to buyer cost requirements.Utilize digital tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, ChatGPT, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents etc. for data analysis) and IE software to model costing scenarios, forecast thread consumption, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Mentor team members, conduct training on GSD techniques, work measurement methods (e.g., PMTS vs. Stopwatch), and foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with global-ready standards.Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, including productivity metrics and thread consumption per SMV, and recommend strategies for mindset shifts and method innovations.Ensure compliance with ethical labor practices, sustainability goals, and buyer audits, while optimizing factory floor resources (e.g., reducing non-value-added costs).Drive cross-functional projects for new product costing, changeover agility, and capacity planning in knit and woven garment lines.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or equivalent.Experience:
8 to 15 years
