Responsibilities & Context:Job Context:We are looking for a cook / Assistant Cook who has vast experience in cooking for hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparing, cooking, storing of food for patients, staff, and guests within the hospital. The incumbent will carry-out his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of BSH and fully supports the mission, vision, and values of BSH. The incumbent will have knowledge of hospital food service systems, and have demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce. Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils. Ensure highest levels of food quality & taste.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.Cook according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served.Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability.Cook will be responsible for various aspects of food preparation in several different types of establishments & supervising others who are responsible for performing tasks related to cooking.Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Areas.Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.Before cooking the cooker will have to be cleaned his hands with hand wash.After cooking make ensure that the kitchen will be sanitized.Always serve the dishes at right time.Education Requirements:
  • SSC
  • 8 Pass
SSC8 PassMinimum SSC (for Cook) / Class Eight (for Asst. Cook). Advanced training is preferred.Additional Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in reputed hotel, industry/health care organization
