Responsibilities & Context:Key Responsibilities:1. Programme & Service DeliveryEnsure quality and continuity of all programmatic services as per the programme indicators.Maintain and strengthen clinical standards across all health facilities.Support the Programme Manager in achieving performance indicators.Oversee projects to ensure they are staffed, planned, and delivered within scope, time, and budget.Lead implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health interventions in community and emergency settings.Ensure compliance with safeguarding, PSEA, child protection, gender, and organizational policies.2. Leadership & Team DevelopmentProvide guidance, mentorship, and capacity-building to all team members.Focus on client care, community engagement, and technical service improvement.Set goals, conduct appraisals, and manage performance, including corrective actions where necessary.Promote collegiality, gender diversity, and an inclusive work environment.Independently lead project/support staff teams as required.3. Coordination & RepresentationSupport collaboration with government authorities (MoH, DGHS, Civil Surgeon, UH&FPO) and relevant partners.Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, technical teams, and community representatives.Facilitate coordination across different projects to manage risks, issues, and shared resources.Contribute to organizational visibility, public relations, and partnership building.4. Planning, Monitoring & Quality AssuranceDesign systemic execution plans ensuring interconnectedness of activities.Continuously monitor clinical facilities and resolve issues promptly.Develop work plans including allocation of sites, staff, and interventions.Match field site demographics with programme requirements to identify target beneficiaries.Ensure safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing of all team members in the field.5. Additional DutiesProvide timely support to Programme Manager in operational, financial, and compliance areas.Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Programme Manager.Maintain communication with the Head Office programme team.Skills & CompetenciesEducational RequirementsMBBS with Master of Public Health (MPH) from a recognized university.Experience RequirementsMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in NGOs, UN, or international development organizations.At least 3 years of experience in a similar health programme leadership role.Additional RequirementsStrong knowledge of health systems, project cycle management, and results-based management.Familiarity with global and national development priorities (SDGs, gender, rights-based approaches).Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.Read Before ApplyPlease note that application via any other method will not be considered.“FRIENDSHIP is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and adults, and employees, Donors, visiting Doctors, visiting Journalists, visitors, beneficiaries including communities where we work and volunteers/interns.
