Responsibilities & Context:Job ContextSurjer Hashi Network (SHN) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. Its mission is to offer high quality, customer-oriented and affordable healthcare services for all Bangladeshis, while its vision is to grow into a sustainable enterprise. Although it primarily aims to serve the underprivileged, SHN is committed to improve the health and welfare of all groups irrespective of their income, gender, and age. With a focus on mother and child healthcare, and family planning, SHN is gradually expanding into general health services. The Company complements government efforts in the areas of TB screening, EPI and Covid-19 vaccination efforts.The Officer, Accounts and Admin is responsible ensures the smooth functioning of SHN clinic operations to including quality of care, financial management and reporting, clinic maintenance and upkeep, procurement of clinic supplies and drugs. This is a contractual role based in different locations.Job ResponsibilitiesACCOUNTS:Maintain daily financial reporting by using Accounting Software PackagePreparation of Bank vouchersWriting of checks and maintenance of check booksMaintenance of Bank Register and Cash BookPreparation of petty cash vouchers and maintenance of petty cash registerPrepare timesheet and honoraria sheet/register in consultation with Clinic Manager and submit it to bank with necessary instructions.Ensure payments are made after fulfilling of all the required formalities.Ensure safe custody of the cash in hand and check books of the SH Clinic.Reimburse travel expenses and per diem bills to the project staff.Collect and reconcile bank statements as and when required.Ensure that each and every staff duly sign salary and benefit register and honoraria sheet.Must oblige by MCP, TIAHRT and Helms Amendment and maintain it strictly.PROCUREMENT AND STOCK MAINTENANCE:Collect contraceptives and logistics from Thana/Upazila Health and Family Planning Office.Maintain the stock of contraceptive and other clinic and office supplies.Maintain the stock of medicines procured under Revolving Drug FundMaintain both Consumable and Fixed Asset Register.Responsible for operating Health Care Mart (if HCM is present)Responsible for day to day dispensing medicine at Vital /Ultra clinics.Arrange procurement as per decision of Clinic Manager and budget provision.ADMINISTRATIVE:Maintain Human Resource Management Manual for Surjer Hashi ClinicsMaintain personal files and records of all staff employed in clinic.Assist Clinic Manager in preparing required reports and documentation.Record all correspondence received in register on a regular basis.Maintain the staff movement register and the work plans for all the clinic staff.Maintain leave and attendance register.Prepare MOU letter with on call staff or part time staff.Education Requirements:Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance and Accounts, Management or in any relevant discipline.Experience:
  • At least 1 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Hospital, Diagnostic Centre, Clinic
Additional Job Requirements:Managing accounts at clinic, records, logistics, asset register and stock register.Self-motivated and should have good time management skill.Must possess the ability to work under pressure.Must be sensitive to cultural differences and understanding ethical issues.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Proficient computer operations, MS Office, internet browsing, MS Teams and cloud-based software like MS SharePoint.Previous experiences in related job will be preferred.Compensation & Other Benefits:
