Join us to find the way.Job PurposeThe Assistant General Manager, Research & Insights will spearhead the development and execution of a strategic research and insights agenda for the BRAC Microfinance programme. This role is responsible for establishing a high-performing, data-driven team that provides critical insights to inform and influence high-level strategic decisions, ensuring the program remains dynamic, client-centric, and aligned with industry trends.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction to the team to ensure research activities are directly linked to programme goals and priorities.Lead, and mentor a contemporary and "right-fit" Research & Insights team, fostering a culture of excellence and analytical consistency.Serve as a key strategic partner to the senior management, using in-depth research to influence decision-making around client-centric interventions and social performance.Continuously analyze microcredit industry dynamics and future trends to keep BRAC`s program in sync with the changing market landscape.Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of the program`s research needs and develop a robust mechanism for providing actionable insights that directly influence the strategic framework.Develop a comprehensive, year-long research log frame that outlines the research requirements for all key programmatic functions; product development, client services.Build and enhance the in-house capacity for conducting basic-level research, enabling the team to provide quick, data-informed insights for immediate decision-making.Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with reputable local and international research firms to execute complex programmatic research projects.Establish an effective liaison with local and international thought leaders in the microfinance sector to share BRAC`s research findings, experiences, and learnings.Champion and embed a culture of research-based decision-making across different management layers of the microfinance programme.Collaborate effectively with other BRAC programs and external partners on various projects to leverage shared knowledge and resources.SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.Education Requirements:
Masters
Master's in Statistics/ Mathematics / Economics/ MBA or any other equivalent discipline from a recognized university/institute.Experience:
At least 7 years
