Responsibilities & Context:Job Context:One of the leading conglomerates in the garments industries of Bangladesh, is looking for Assistant General Manager- HR for Corporate located at Dhaka. The incumbent must have initiative, experience and the drive to deliver high-quality results.Job Responsibilities:Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.Lead manpower planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback processes.Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable labor laws, factory acts, and HR best practices.Build and maintain strong employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures.Oversee payroll, compensation, and benefits management in coordination with the finance department.Drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention strategies.Manage learning and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.Supervise and guide HR teams at the head office and coordinate with factory HR for alignment and consistency.Represent the HR department in audits, compliance inspections, and external stakeholder meetings (e.g., buyers, auditors).Prepare HR reports and analytics for top management decision-making.Educational Requirements:12 to 15 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, specifically in the garments/apparel/textile industry.At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., Manager or above).Additional Requirements:Age at least 35 yearsExcellent communication skills in English, with strong presentation and negotiation abilities, time management and organizational skills are essential.Complete knowledge of human resources best practices and legal requirements governing the same.Knowing ERP, data management, analysis and report- generating skillsStrong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and factory compliance requirements.Experience:
  • At least 12 years
