Responsibilities & Context:AkijBashir Energy Limited, (ABEL), seeks to appoint an experienced DGM/GM, who will lead the trade marketing & sales operations of its cable and wire business at the national & regional level. The incumbent will be responsible for driving revenue growth through client acquisition, retention of existing business, and developing long-term strategic relationships with clients. This role demands leadership, team building skills, market insight, and proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure consistent achievement of sales and collection targets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage - Trade Marketing & Sales of cable business of AkijBashir Group by formulating and executing trade sales at the regional & national levelManage the development and execution of trade-focused marketing strategies to drive product visibility, strengthen channel relationshipsOversee sales growth, and ensure effective market penetration through promotions, marketing, and dealer/distributor engagementAcquire new clients and retain existing accounts by building and maintaining strong business relationshipsMonitor cable industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer requirements to identify opportunities for market growth and differentiationDevelop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans, including promotional campaigns and cable brand awareness initiativesPrepare reports (daily, monthly, half-yearly, yearly) on sales performance, market development, credit realization, and customer portfolioAnalyze sales and collection data to prepare forecasts and budgets aligned with business objectivesWork with Marketing and Sales teams to implement sales activities, ensuring KPI achievementLeverage digital platforms (webinars, virtual meetings, digital events) to engage clients effectively, especially where travel is constrainedTravel across territories to engage with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and procurement agenciesMaintain a strong command of cable wire product knowledge to deliver professional presentations and ensure product suitability for client applicationsEducation Requirements:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing
Experience:
  • 15 to 20 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Group of Companies, Steel, Electric Wire/Cable
