Assistant Manager (Quality)

• Lead and implement quality assurance systems ensuring product integrity and compliance with industry standards (ISO-9001:2015).
• Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, audits, and testing protocols to ensure compliance with safety, performance, and durability standards.
• Supervise inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Develop and execute quality inspection protocols, ensuring car seat heaters meet all safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and procurement teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis using Six Sigma tools and lead corrective actions for quality improvement.
• Guarantee zero-defect shipments in line with buyer requirements and company standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Kaizen, facilitating workshops and promoting employee-driven process enhancements.
• Analyze test data, document findings, and report on product quality to management, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Lead both internal and external audits and maintain proper documentation.
• Record and analyze defect data, rejection rate, and rework quantity.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for company management.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce cycle times, and increase operational efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide training to staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain detailed documentation of quality processes and ensure traceability.
• Lead the development and execution of the organization's quality strategy.
• Align quality goals with business objectives and regulatory standards.

• Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Physics
• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Physics

• A meticulous approach to inspections and documentation to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• The incumbent is responsible for leading the entire Quality Management Team of the factory. This includes quality control executives, team leaders, and workers with a headcount of 98 people. A thorough understanding of 5S, Kaizen, and ISO 9001 quality standards is required. Knowledge and understanding of Automotive seat heater quality management process is desirable. Basic knowledge of Japanese language is desirable.
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
• Quality Assurance/ Quality Control, Quality Inspection, Quality Report Preparation, ISO Audit, Seat Heater technology, Knowledge About Fault-Tree Analysis, Hitokuchi standards, and P-FMEA
• At least 6 years of managerial level experience in a factory environment, preferably in a Japanese-origin company. Knowledge about Seat Heater technology, Fault-Tree Analysis, Hitokuchi standards, and P-FMEA. A thorough understanding of 5S, Kaizen, and ISO 9001 quality standards is required. Knowledge and understanding of Automotive seat heater quality management process is desirable.
