Responsibilities & Context:Position ObjectiveJoin BASF Bangladesh Ltd. in shaping sustainable solutions-Where the Chemistry Happens. As Manager - Technical Sales you will drive and implement the strategic and profitable growth of Industrial Formulators Industry, existing and new product portfolio business in Pakistan and Bangladesh and emphasize new business development through Technical Sales in these countries with specific emphasis on Bangladesh.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic:Responsible for business top line, bottom line and volume growth as per annual targets in Bangladesh and Pakistan and replicate and implement the strategic direction for Industrial Formulators business; specifically Nonionic Surfactant (NIS) and other main groups for Textiles and Leather / Agchem and Coating Adhesive Sealant Elastomer (CASE) in Industrial Formulators industries.Responsible to drive - through technical selling - building new business applications inorganically in these countries specific to MSA / NIS / Anionic Surfactant (AIS) / Agchem and metal surface treatment additives which could be more than 25% of annual targets.Develop and maintain strategic long-term business relationships with key accounts / appoint and manage channel partners and drive growth for industrial formulators and key customers in industrial formulators industries in both the countries.Utilize product application knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of entire customer and market value chain to drive new product innovation sales - aligned to regional Marketing and Technical Sales directions.Continue hunting for new business development opportunities and keep building critical mass of business across Industrial Formulators industries.Align with the long-term growth vision of Care Chemicals; specifically, to Industrial Formulators and Home Care assets; and look for all sales and new business development opportunitiesOverall, develop, implement and monitor agreed sales strategies including pricing implementation.Planning & Operational:Responsibility for the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets and profitability for the business through planning, forecasting and payment collection.Responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed-on targets regarding net sales contribution margin, for all Industrial Formulators business.To represent the business at key industry events to obtain information on markets and creative trends.Establish control systems to effectively manage the business in line with targets. Establish and implement effective reporting systems to monitor the same.Responsible for efficient management of receivable, DIV, DSO.Provide accurate sales forecasts, supporting efficient planning of products and services.company image in general forums - specific to Textiles / Leather/ Agro / Chemical process industries and CASE.Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry
University degree in Chemistry (BE) or above; preferable with post-graduation degree in Business Administration.Experience:
  • 12 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Chemical Industries
