Responsibilities & Context:The Manager - Food Security Skills Livelihood (FSSL) actively contribute to the overall design, strategic planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of diverse components across internal management, partners and donors. The primary focus is on ensuring interventions meet minimum requirements according to ISCG guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to enhance implementation quality and generate impactful outcomes for the affected population. Additionally, the Manager will support research, documentation, and reporting needs within the sector, with a major emphasis on disability and inclusion for the empowerment of women and girls in alignment with sustainable development goals.Strategic Planning and Design:Contribute to the development of the overall design and strategic plan for Food Security Skills Livelihood initiatives. Ensure alignment with ISCG guidelines and minimum requirements in all interventions. The focus is to develop fair and equitable FSSL projects to bring gender transformative change in the targeted location.Coordination and Monitoring:Coordinate activities among partners and donors to streamline efforts and optimize resource utilization. Monitor project components to ensure adherence to established guidelines and strategic objectives. The safeguarding, centralized AAP and inclusion will be key aspects to develop unique mechanisms within the sector.Quality Implementation:Collaborate with project teams to enhance the quality of implementation, emphasizing excellence and impact on the affected population. Provide guidance and support to address challenges and optimize project outcomes. Reflect the quarterly review and make adaptive changes and also create platforms for communities to effectively engage to provide feedback, suggestions and complaints.Research and Documentation:Support research initiatives related to food security, skills development, and livelihood.Oversee the documentation of project activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Reporting: Develop and oversee reporting mechanisms for the sector, providing regular updates to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.Empowerment of Women and Girls:Develop strategies to promote women and girls' participation, empowerment and leadership Implement leadership development initiatives focusing on building leadership skills among women in various sectors. Review resources and also support to facilitate workshops, training, and mentorship programs to prepare women for leadership roles in socio-economic organizations.Design advocacy campaigns to create awareness in communities to challenge stereotypes and promote the value of women's contributions to socio-economic development.Bridge the digital gender gap by providing training on digital literacy and technology skills for women and girls. Explore partnerships with tech organizations to enhance access to digital tools and platforms for entrepreneurial purposes.Capacity Development:Capacity development initiatives aims to empower all staff and partner organization with the knowledge and skills necessary to create an inclusive, respectful, and gender-sensitive workplace, while proactively addressing disability-related considerations and mainstreaming strategies to prevent and respond to GBV risks.Apply GAM in FSSL:Drive initiatives focused on disability and inclusion, working towards the empowerment of women and girls. Promote gender-sensitive approaches in project activities Integrate inclusive practices into project design and implementation by:
  • Understanding how access and control of productive resources have been affected by the crisis;
  • Targeting women as income providers; and promoting joint household decision-making in income use;
  • Recognizing the role that women play in supporting established markets;
  • Consulting with women on how to ensure they retain control over resources and assets Intended for their benefit;
  • Addressing household and childcare responsibilities as part of the program;
  • Promoting women's empowerment by offering safe income alternatives, building knowledge and fostering independence.
Safeguarding:
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Education Requirements:Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Media and Communications, English, URP or a related discipline from any UGC approved reputed university or institute.Experience:
  • At least 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency
Additional Job Requirements:Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Strong mentality to work with displaced people as well as sexual and gender-based violence survivors
  • Strong experience from a humanitarian / NGO setting with relevant professional experience in the field of sexual exploitation and abuse, protection, gender-based violence, staff misconduct and discipline, gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs
